Locations list

For the start of our clip we need a ordinary living room, we will try to make this dark and dingy so it creates tension and a dark atmosphere to suit the genre of the film,to do this curtains could be used to darken the room. for the main section we will need a basement as it is dark and dingy, and we can use artificial lighting to light the room. if this is not a possibility then we will have to use another location such as a house instead, and place the zombie/s somewher else such as a loft where it is also dark and still could have the same effect or outside. To show the area is deserted we can film clips of empty streets and maybe an abandoned car, this can be done anywhere.

Questionnaire- Primary research results and key findings

We gave 10 questionnaires out to see what people wanted from a film and to see some views of what make people watch a film. if we count the results, we see they are surprisingly similar to each others.

Q1 What is your age?
5 people are 17 year old, 5 people are 16 years old. 50/50

Q2 Does the name of the film matter?
Eight said Yes it does matter, two said it doesn't matter.

This shows us that the film name is very important in someone's opinion of it and may make them decide to watch it.

Q3 Which genre of film do you prefer?
Three like Action, three like Comedy, one likes Horror and three like Thriller.

We see the majority like a mix of action, comedy and thriller, which is themain genres in Zombie films which will go to our advantage as long as we include some of these aspects.

Q4 What attracts you to watch a film?
One said a friends recommendation, two said the cast, two said a review and five said a trailer would influence them.

We see that visual stimulation helps to make an audience's mind up whethe ror not to watch a film and also the cast is important, they need to act good.

Q5 Do you like Zombie Movies?
9 out of 10 people like zombie movies.
We, by the results can see that we have chosen a popular film genre to work with and many are attracted to these types of films.

Q6 If yes what do you like about them?
Most said that they like the tension caused and the special effects such as the gory scenes.

Q7 Is there a favourite Zombie Movie you have?
Three said they liked ZombieLand, three liked Shaun of The Dead and another two liked 28 days later.

Interestingly the movies named are among the top 10 list i previously included, showing that they are popular and people like what is in them.

Q8 Do you think the opening of a film is important?
Eight said they did think it was important and two said no.

We now know that the opening creates an opinion on the audience for the whole film and whether they want to continue to watch it.

Q9 Do you feel as though Zombie films all have a similar plot?
Eight said they felt they were similar, one said yes but there were exceptions such as Shaun of The Dead and one said no.

Many feel that all zombie movies are all alike, but this obviously had a good effect as they are popular, this tells us we should follow the conventional aspects of a zombie movie.
